The Grey Shed is your escape away from it all, a modern luxury retreat set in a rural location near the village of Crayke. It would be the ideal place in which to relax and unwind together. Discover the stunning countryside on foot or by bike and come back to The Grey Shed to warm up in a hot bubble bath and curl up by the log burning stove.

Built with the closest attention to detail with natural materials, underfloor heating and log burner, all done in an eco-friendly way to have minimal impact on the environment. It has been thoughtfully decorated in calm, neutral tones to create a peaceful space to unwind in.

With beautiful details and high end fittings, including a DeVol kitchen for rustling up romantic suppers and a freestanding roll top tub by the bed. Through the Crittall style doors there is even a private terrace to sit and enjoy an aperitif or outdoor supper under the stars.

If you’re foodies The Grey Shed is perfectly situated for exploring Yorkshire’s finest restaurants. World renowned chef Tommy Banks’ restaurant The Black Swan, crowned The Best Restaurant in the World is in Oldstead, is just 10 minutes by car (booking essential). An excellent pub, The Durham Ox, is also just a mile away in the village of Crayke. Slightly further afield you can explore the City of York taking in the culture, history and the many bars and restaurants on offer as well.

Dalesend is a beautiful collection of four holiday properties set on a private country estate in lower Wensleydale on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The main Hall is an historic house, built in 1703 in the Queen Anne style sits majestically in an idyllic setting of 25 acres of woodland and private gardens.

The Tack Room is set on the first floor of the old stable block with beautiful high ceilings and a stunning interior incorporating vintage tack such as old leather saddles and bridles. Back in the cottage you can curl up by the log burning stove and pour a glass of fizz in your very own secluded retreat! Hayloft cottage is a beautiful private retreat set on the first floor of the old stable block. Kick off your walking boots and hang up your Barbour in the entrance lobby and step inside to discover a breath-taking interior that will capture your heart. With a large bath tub at the foot of the super king size bed and a cosy log burner, it has everything you need for a romantic escape.  

Groom’s Rooms is the third cottage in the Dalesend Collection, step into the cottage and you are greeted by the thoughtful interior design that creates a light and airy feel throughout this beautiful open plan living space. Cosy up by the fire on chilly days or take a seat by the window where you can enjoy the stunning views out to the parkland and the estate beyond, you can’t fail to be captivated by the beauty of this Beautiful Escape, it will be hard to steal yourself away.

Beautiful light floods into Head Lad, the final cottage in the collection, from two windows overlooking the stunning parkland all around. The space in this contemporary cottage flows beautifully with washed oak flooring and stylish interior furnishings throughout. In the sitting area a comfy leather sofa invites you to kick back and relax, there is a large TV, perfect for watching movies.
