Tack Room cottage is one of a beautiful collection of four holiday properties set on a private country estate in lower Wensleydale on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The main Hall is an historic house, built in 1703 in the Queen Anne style and is home to Emma and Charles, it sits majestically in an idyllic setting of 25 acres of woodland and private gardens.

Forming part of a stunning renovation of the former stable accommodation which has been executed with uncompromising attention to detail by Emma & Charles, the end result is a unique range of stylish and luxurious properties making them perfect for a Beautiful Escape.

Tack Room can be booked individually for a couples romantic escape, or together with Hayloft and Groom’s Rooms for the perfect getaway for up to three couples in the separate properties, perfect for mixing a group getaway with some private time as each property is self contained.

PROPERTY DETAILS

Living Space

Set on the first floor of the old stable block with beautiful high ceilings and a stunning interior incorporating vintage tack such as old leather saddles and bridles, make this a very special place to be. The open plan design offers the best of everything whether you want to put your feet up in front of the log fire, cook up a tasty supper in the well equipped kitchen or relax in the romantic canopied bed watching a movie, it really is the perfect setting for a romantic stay.

Enjoy complimentary logs for your entire stay including unlimited heating and hot water from an Eco-friendly wood-pellet biomass boiler.

Kitchen

The well appointed kitchen is beautifully equipped with everything you need for rustling up a hearty breakfast before you venture out for a day exploring and when you return, simply kick off your boots and cook up a tasty supper for two!

Bedroom

The king size bed with its linen canopy creates a beautiful and sumptuous place to relax, settle into the comfiest of beds, play relaxing music, open the wine and watch the embers glow in the log burner, what better end to the day.

Bathroom

The bathroom is warmed by underfloor heating and has the luxury of a powerful shower and a bathtub, perfect for soaking your aching muscles at the end of a day’s rambling in the Dales.

Hot Tub

Tack Room cottage has its very own private hot tub, just a short stroll from the cottage tucked away in a private corner on the edge of the woodland, with a deck and table and chairs too all you need to do is open the fizz and enjoy!

Grounds

There is a beautiful lawned area for use by the cottages with garden furniture for you to enjoy relaxing outside, the perfect spot for an afternoon picnic or supper al fresco.

There is a large courtyard to the front of the old stable block which provides ample parking.

Yoga & Retreats

Yoga:

In the Hall there is a wonderful YogaSpace where Emma the owner runs Yoga and Pilates classes including Kundalini, Yoga Nidra and Gong bath and Yoga for Cancer. For further information please see the Yogaspace Yorkshire website.

Retreats:

Beautiful Escapes retreat weekends can be arranged to include Yoga, Pilates and a range of other experiences depending on requirements, please contact us to discuss the options.

THE LOCAL AREA

Tack Room cottage is situated in Lower Wensleydale, often referred to as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and the National Park. The perfect location for exploring all that the Dales has to offer.

The wide stunning landscapes of rolling hills and valleys peppered with farms and livestock and the many historic and picturesque villages gives the Dales a very distinctive appearance. Wensleydale, Swaledale, Coverdale and Arkengarthdale are all easily accessible from the Tack Room whether you want to venture out on foot, cycling or by car. Or why not hop on the Wensleydale railway and take in the scenery as you travel you up the dale to Redmire.

We had a lovely time over the weekend in the Tack Room . Well  appointed and comfortable within a lovely setting. We did lots of cycling and beautiful local walks then relaxed in the evening in the hot tub looking out over the field. We will defnitely book with beautiful Escapes again, your knowledge and service were exceptional.
