Hayloft cottage is one of a beautiful collection of four holiday properties set on a private country estate in lower Wensleydale on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The main Hall is an historic house, built in 1703 in the Queen Anne style and is home to Emma and Charles, it sits majestically in an idyllic setting of 25 acres of woodland and private gardens.

Forming part of a stunning renovation of the former stable accommodation which has been executed with uncompromising attention to detail by Emma & Charles, the end result is a unique range of stylish and luxurious properties making them perfect for a Beautiful Escape.

Hayloft cottage is a beautiful private retreat set on the first floor of the old stable block. Kick off your walking boots and hang up your Barbour in the entrance lobby and step inside to discover a breath-taking interior that will capture your heart, this stunning property has everything you need for a perfect romantic break for two.

Hayloft can be booked individually for a couples romantic escape, or together with Tack Room and Groom’s Rooms for the perfect getaway for a group of up to six people in the four separate properties, perfect for mixing a group getaway with some private time as each property is self contained.

PROPERTY DETAILS

Living space

The open plan layout has been thoughtfully planned to create a connected space throughout whilst retaining a degree of privacy in the bathroom and bedroom areas. The double height apex and exposed beams give a real sense of space and light. With a large bath tub at the foot of the super king size bed and a cosy log burner, it creates everything you need for a romantic escape.

The spacious living area has a generous chaise sofa perfect for snuggling up and relaxing by the log fire watching your favourite movie on the smart TV. Or listen to your favourite music, chatting and catching up on the day as you cook up a tasty supper in the spacious open kitchen which is beautifully designed and well equipped.

Enjoy complimentary  logs for your entire stay including unlimited heating and hot water from an Eco-friendly wood-pellet biomass boiler.

Kitchen

Open to the living space the kitchen is generous in size with everything to hand. The many delicatessens, artisan bakers and food markets in the Dales provide a bounty of wonderful produce for creating culinary treats.

Bedroom 1

The bedroom has been cleverly designed behind a demi wall which provides privacy form the living space without being totally cut off.

A few steps from the bed you can indulge in the ultimate bubble bath in the deep bathtub, turn on the mood lighting and immerse yourself in this beautiful space.

There is also another TV here that you can watch from the comfort of the super king size bed or while you enjoy a soak in the tub.

Bathroom

The bathroom is a haven of luxury with Italian marble tiles and underfloor heating, step into the monsoon shower to get your day off to an invigorating start.

Grounds

There is a beautiful lawned area for use by the cottages with garden furniture for you to enjoy relaxing outside. This really is a magical place to be.

There is a large courtyard to the front of the old stable block which provides ample parking.

THE LOCAL AREA

Hayloft cottage is situated in Lower Wensleydale, often referred to as the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and the National Park. The perfect location for exploring all that the Dales has to offer.

The wide, stunning landscapes of rolling hills and valleys, peppered with farms and livestock and the many historic and picturesque villages gives the Dales a very distinctive appearance. Wensleydale, Swaledale, Coverdale and Arkengarthdale are all easily accessible from the Hayloft whether you want to venture out on foot, cycling or by car. Hop on the Wensleydale railway and take in the scenery as you travel you up the dale to Redmire.
