The Garden Shed – Sand Hutton, North Yorkshire

Escape to the woods! This secluded bolthole is nestled in a pretty woodland garden in the village of Sand Hutton near York. This former storehouse has been beautifully transformed into a romantic log house hideaway, just for two.

The open plan living space has a sofa by the log burner, a dining nook by the french doors overlooking the walled courtyard and a separate en-suite bedroom with it’s own pretty terrace.

Cosy and comfy with all modern conveniences, experience a magical getaway just for two and a dog in this beautifully designed hygge space.

Just 8 miles from the historic City of York and the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are just 10 minutes away by car, the North York Moors National Park is 30 minutes drive and the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Yorkshire coast are both within an hour’s drive away.

The Grey Shed – Crayke, North Yorkshire

Set in a rural location near the pretty village of Crayke, nestles a unique self-catering hideaway where honest, natural materials echo the outside surroundings. Built with the finest craftsmanship, blending a pared-back simplicity with a rustic edge. Light floods through the Crittal style doors into this dramatic double height space, with a restful, neutral colour palette creating harmony and balance against the polished concrete floors and white wood clad walls.

Eco-Friendly, designed as a super insulated eco-build with underfloor heating, incorporating recycled materials and furnishings.

The Grey Shed is a modern luxury retreat, perfect for those seeking an escape in the country yet near to the historic City of York.

The Wishing Well – Richmond, Yorkshire Dales

The Wishing Well is a pretty little cottage just for two on Millgate, in the Georgian town of Richmond, North Yorkshire. Every house on this street is different, built at different times, yet all overlook the steep bank that eventually winds down to the River Swale. Known as the gateway to the Dales, Richmond is the perfect location for exploring all that this beautiful part of Yorkshire has to offer.

The cottage has been lovingly restored by owners Maria & Jeff and combines original architectural features with contemporary additions, creating a comfortable, unique property with light, airy rooms, historic grandeur, and everything you need for a romantic trip away. As soon as you walk in, you’ll find yourself standing on the original stone flagstone floors, one of the many remnants of the cottage’s heritage. In this space, the wood-burning stove provides warmth and immediate atmosphere, and the ultra-comfortable sofa is the perfect place from which to watch your favourite film on the Smart TV.

As the name suggests, it really does have it’s very own Well, it is partially exposed in the kitchen and makes an interesting talking point. Outside there is a lovely little terrace which offers a peep to nearby Richmond Castle.

There is a secure garage suitable for a small car, cycles, kayaks, etc.
