Discover The Hamptons right here on the Yorkshire coast, East Hampton is an impressive, beautifully appointed holiday home in a unique location nestled amongst woodland on the Raithwaite Estate in the picturesque village of Sandsend with its expansive beach just a mile from Whitby on the spectacular Yorkshire coast. The interior has an easy flow with a relaxed laid-back vibe, on sunny days the outside terrace is where you want to be, an expansive deck with furniture makes it perfect for gathering everyone together.

Owners Peter and Oxana have taken great care in the creation of three very special places to be, beside the sea, East Hampton has two neighbouring cottages, each sleeping six guests, the cottages can be booked separately or together for up to 18 guests.

The open plan living space is on the ground floor with French doors to the terrace and views out to the woodland surrounding the cottage, one bedroom  is on the gorund floor and also has French doors to the deck while two bedrooms and bathrooms are set on the first floor, accommodating up to six guests are arranged on the ground floor.

Building and excavation works are currently taking place at the Raithwaite Estate.

Living

Designed for easy holiday living the open plan sitting, dining and kitchen spaces are all connected to the expansive terrace overlooking the woodland to the rear and when you want to take it easy cosy up on the sumptuously comfy sofas, there is an Apple T.V. for keeping up with your favourite programs or why not have a movie night and cook up the hot dogs and pop the corn!

East Hampton Suite

Set on the ground floor with an en-suite shower room this bedroom has French doors opening on to the terrace, handy for when you want to have that first morning coffee and breathe in the fresh sea air, what could be a better start to the day.

Long Island Bedroom

Open to the rafters this bedroom has a lofty feel with a light colour palette of soft, natural tones, beautiful light with en-suite bathroom, the super king bed can also be set as two twins.

South Shore Bedroom

This cosy double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom is full of charm with pretty furnishings with woodland views and dressing table by the window that can also double as a workspace for when you need some quiet time.

THE LOCAL AREA

The picturesque village of Sandsend lies on Yorkshire’s heritage coastline, between Runswick Bay and Whitby, you can enjoy a lovely walk along the beach to Whitby. There a fine views down the coast towards the romantic ruins of Whitby Abbey which is said to be the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Sandsend beach is popular with fossil hunters, fishermen and walkers.  In summer an area of the beach is zoned off for swimming.

There are plenty of beachside cafes, restaurants and a smattering of independent shops to explore.

Dog friendly beach all year round with a designated area in May to October.
