Throughout the year there is a variety of events and entertainment with drama and Grassington Movie nights at the Octagon Theatre. Grassington Festival is held for two weeks annually in June and early July. In September the Grassington 40s Weekend offers tea dances and an opportunity to stroll up the High Street and enjoy the 1940’s costumes. In December, enthusiastic locals dress up again for the annual Dickensian Festival.

Those wishing to catch up on the latest in Dales Agricultural life will enjoy a day out at Kilnsey Agricultural Show which is held every year at the end of August and offers a chance to see the best in Dales livestock, country crafts and baking, plus fell running and sheepdog trials.
