PROPERTY DETAILS

Overview

When you arrive at Brownber you immediately feel a sense of freedom. As you walk across the expansive terrace to the entrance you are greeted with the most spectacular views of the fields and fells and you know that this is going to be a very special place to stay.

Peter and Amanda took over as the custodians of the Hall in 2016, and have been slowly and carefully re-imagining aspects of the building ever since. This is absolutely key to the feel of the place, Brownber is absolutely of the moment, rustic, various, sweet, fun. Proper thought has been applied to the interiors giving the property its own unique style, a mixture of vintage, reclaimed, handmade and reupholstered furniture along with contemporary pieces. Masses of books, prints, photographs, rugs. Softly sanded floor boards. Beautiful William Morris wallpaper kept from the Hall’s previous incarnations.

REVIEWS

We love to hear back from our guests to find out their experience with Beautiful Escapes.

August 2023
Hi Angela
We had a wonderful stay! The area was beautiful and the house was perfect – it comfortably fit our party of 12 and 3 children, having en-suites was a real game changer. Peter was incredibly hospitable for the entire trip, he even brought over a fresh bag of sugar for us to make a crumble with because we left it too late to get some from the shop! He was at the end of the phone when we needed him. The booking process with beautiful escapes was seamless and straight forward. No complaints at all and we’re already thinking about our next trip up to potentially stay at Brownber Hall again! So a huge thank you!!!
Kind regards
Kate
