Maidensworth Farm

The Granary is a wonderful space, set on the first floor it is over 80 ft long and as a testament to its vastness, it comfortably houses a full-size snooker table with all the requisite cue-room.  This room is also perfect for evening dinners with a huge, hull-shaped dining table and curved pew benches seating up to 20. Or simply relax on the comfy, squishy sofas for gatherings by the cavernous log fire. With views all around of the gardens, forest and fields there is much to admire, step out onto the balcony and enjoy evening star gazing, this is a unique room which can’t fail to impress.

The spacious kitchen has beautiful views out to the gardens, at its centre is a large table for informal suppers and hearty breakfasts. There is an Aga, electric oven and gas hob, fridge, dishwasher and everything you need for cooking up a treat from all of the wonderful produce which is readily available from local farmers markets, country stores and delis. There is also a separate preparation kitchen with large American fridge freezer and lots of storage space. Supermarkets also provide a home delivery service too.

The peaceful bedrooms are all located on the ground floor and are beautifully appointed, each with its own spacious and luxurious bathroom. Wake up to wonderful views all around and breathe in the countryside air, it will be hard to steal yourself away from these uniquely styled retreat bedrooms.

Africa Suite

Set on the ground floor, a spacious suite with a super king size leather sleigh bed, beautifully appointed, featuring animal prints, rugs and artefacts all adding to the African theme. Large and spacious en-suite with separate roll top bathtub and walk in shower.

Middle Earth Suite

Accessed from the ground floor courtyard terrace with views out to the gardens. Furnished with rich coloured fabrics, a super king size bed and attention detail throughout make for a beautiful relaxing space.

Red Suite

This warm and welcoming room is perfect for sitting up in the king size bed and taking in the view of the wonderful gardens all around. As the name suggests red walls and furnishings are a feature and contrast beautifully with the polished wood floors.

Beach Suite

This duplex suite is spacious and welcoming, with a king size bed, it has staircase upto the first floor en-suite.

Sweden Suite

Reached via a private staircase to the first floor, it is furnished in the style of a ski chalet, with antique skis and a toboggan adding to the theme. Enjoy views out to the garden and forest.

The en-suite has lots of space for pampering and a large walk in shower.

Cowboy Suite

As the name suggests this suite has a stunning king size bed and features old saddles, tack and interesting photos of cowboys & cowgirls!

The en-suite has a roll top bathtub and lots large walk in shower.

Three additional bedrooms may be available on request.

With 45 acres to explore there is plenty of space for everyone, explore the grounds and discover the beautiful gardens lovingly tended by Caroline, including a prolific kitchen garden and orchard. Fresh eggs from the chickens who roam freely are often available.

There is a large terrace with a table and chairs to enjoy tasty lunch or a refreshing sundowner, an abundance of flowers planted all around bring colour and scent for your enjoyment.

In the courtyard garden there is a covered terrace, a firepit and a BBQ for al fresco suppers.

Yoga

The perfect route to relaxation, arrange a private yoga session with Lily, one of Caroline and David’s daughters, Lily is a qualified yoga teacher with a loyal following, she offers individual lessons and can create a bespoke program tailored to suit you and your group.

Cycling

Cycling is very popular in the area with so many routes from the door,  Raf, Caroline & David’s son is something of a cycling expert, you can visit his workshop where he makes bikes to order. Raf also offers guided cycle trails . Cycle storage is available and cycle hire can be arranged.

Tennis

If you enjoy a game of tennis there’s a full size court at your disposal.

Surfing

If you would like to try surfing, there is a surf school at Saltburn-by-the-Sea where you can book a lesson and hire everything you need to ride the waves!

Country Pursuits

Activities including, fishing and game shooting accompanied by an expert guide can be arranged should you wish.

Landrover Hire

We can arrange a Landrover Defender for all or part of your stay to give you the full escape to the country experience!
