Owner Tom has taken a great deal of care in sourcing stylish and interesting furnishings, his attention to detail is evident throughout the cottage. Unusual wallpapers paired with exquisite fabrics and SOHO Home furniture all come together in this wonderful space to create a memorable experience for guests.

The cottage has a generous, open feel, the living space takes advantage of the stunning views across the gardens to the hills and fields all around and with 3 bedroom suites there is plenty of room for friends and family to gather together and enjoy all that the local area has to offer.

Only a 15 minute drive from the Peak District national park and picturesque Holmfirth and with the added bonus of walking and cycling from the door, Cliffe Hill is perfectly located for exploring this beautiful part of Yorkshire.

Entrance

Approaching the cottage from the pretty front garden, step inside the lobby onto the underfloor heating which features throughout, just off the lobby there is a handy cloakroom with coat hooks, space for muddy boots, a W.C., basin and washing machine.

Living & Dining Space

The living space is full of colour, it has a lovely, easy flow and enjoys views across the gardens stretching far and wide to the countryside all around. Taking centre stage is a majestic stone inglenook with cosy log burner, perfect for pulling up a chair and warming your toes after a frosty walk across the hills.

Super squishy sofas and armchairs invite guests to kick back and relax while eclectic artworks and quirky objects create interest in this colourful and elegant living space. One of the many reading nooks in the cottage can also be found here, nestle on the cushioned stone sill, take a quiet moment with your favourite book.

The custom built dining table is generous in size with an interesting mural as it’s backdrop, it is sure to be a conversation starter over supper, while the French doors offer views out across the garden to the fields and hills beyond.

Tom has successfully created a beautiful escape in the country without compromising on style, luxury and the practicalities of modern living.

Kitchen

The kitchen is beautifully crafted and well thought out with everything you need to create culinary delights including, induction hob, oven, microwave and of course a dishwasher too. Stylish crockery and glassware, serving dishes and cooking utensils are all at hand and the useful island with bar stools is just the spot for for chatting to the chef or enjoying a coffee from the Nespresso, with pretty views to the garden at the front, what could be better.

Garden Suite

Situated on the first floor, the Garden Suite offers lovely views from the stone mullioned window across the garden, hills and fields beyond. The super king size bed is dressed with soft linens, pillows and throws, perfect for lazy mornings or snuggle up for a a film night on the smart t.v. The en-suite has a walk in shower and underfloor heating – no cold toes here!

Ooh La La Suite

With a decidedly French feel this room overlooks the front and enjoys views of the far reaching countryside. Pretty striped fabrics in a striking red add colour and fun, the double bed is beautifully dressed with pretty linens and throws.

House Bathroom

Located on the first floor, the bathroom is spacious and has the added luxury of both a walk in shower and a freestanding bathtub, perfect for a long relaxing soak with views out across the fields.

Suite of Stars

This room enjoys the privacy of the second floor and as the name suggests, the huge Velux windows make this the best place to be for star gazing. Enjoy a restorative bedtime of relaxation, just steps from the super comfy bed you will find a freestanding bathtub, savour a relaxing soak, climb into bed and drift off to a restful nights sleep while taking in the stars.

Workspace

On the second floor there is a dedicated workspace with a desk and chair, this would also be a lovely spot for writing or reading.

Gardens

Gardens to the front and rear, allowing you to follow the sunshine as it moves through the day into the evening. Garden furniture and a BBQ are all provided to help you make the most of outdoor living during your stay at Cliffe Hill.

The show had more than 18 million viewers – if you are a fan this is your chance to visit Nora Batty’s house, Sid’s Cafe or one of the many hills where calamitous old men were forever making mischief.
