Journey along a private lane from the pretty village of Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe, near the City of York, and make friends with the lambs and llamas in the fields as you approach The Old Dairy, set in the grounds of the owners home at Cleaves Hall. The cottage has been a real labour of love for owners Will and Natasha, with careful attention being paid to all of the important details, luxuriously appointed throughout, it is a homely cottage that exudes country charm.
From winter warming retreats, with a roaring log fire and evenings spent curled up on the sofa, to summer days accompanied by the heady fragrance of cottage flowers and beautiful eucalyptus. The Old Dairy is perfect for sharing with family and friends, or if you’re looking for a more intimate escape and an opportunity to reflect, then The Old Dairy is equally an idyllic haven for those craving a little me time.
Gormire Lake is a just a mile from the cottage, visitors report that the lake and Garbutt Wood, which encroaches right up to the shore, have an ‘otherworldly’ and ‘fairytale’ quality, in recent times it was named as one of the best wild swimming spots in Britain!
This is a beautiful cottage, surrounded by large gardens with stunning views across glorious Yorkshire countryside, it is an idyllic setting, it will be hard to steal yourself away.
