The Old School House was built in 1875 from local Dales stone and enjoys an unrivalled position, nestled on the top of the green in the idyllic village of Bainbridge, just 4 miles from Hawes. Having served the village as the local school for over 100 years, it was converted into a home some years ago. More recently it has been lovingly refurbished by owners Sarah and Graham into a stunning family and dog friendly holiday cottage, retaining the wonderful traditional features and balancing them creatively with all the essentials for modern living, it really is a welcoming home from home to be enjoyed by guests staying in the Dales.

This picture perfect cottage oozes charm and character. It is a delight from the minute you arrive, as you take in the stunning views down across the village green you know that this is going to be something very special. The living space is well thought out and beautifully appointed with luxurious furnishings and beautiful linens, light floods in through the tall windows which are a real feature, positioned so that the children would not be distracted from their lessons!

The Old School House has been thoughtfully laid out too, with 4 bedrooms, one king on the ground floor with en-suite, a further king bedroom on the first floor along with a single and a twin and the house bathroom.

This the perfect place to rest, relax and restore and with a log burner for chilly days, stunning countryside all around and walks and cycling from the door, what could be better for a stay in the Dales.

Outside there is a lovely, private courtyard to the rear, perfect for cooking up supper on the BBQ and to the front the village green beckons for a summer picnic while you watch the world go by, with a village pub, tearoom, shop and a butchers in the village, the Old School House really is the perfect, Beautiful Escape in Bainbridge.
