Wander through the cobbled lanes to discover this magical little cottage set in the idyllic fishing village of Robin Hood’s Bay. Millbrook really is a picture postcard cottage, tucked away in old Bay and just a stone’s throw from the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants.

This Grade II listed period cottage dates back some 350 years, built in sandstone and set over three floors. Debbie and Jeff, owners of Millbrook, have lovingly refurbished the cottage without compromising its history and character, they have skillfully incorporated everything you could wish to find for a seaside escape.

Many of the old cottages in Bay are small in stature but full of character and old worlde charm, Millbrook epitomises everything that you would expect from a period cottage in the Bay, with the added bonus of a private outside terrace and a parking space in the village.

Millbrook is a very special place to be for owners Jeff and Debbie, having returned to Robin Hood’s Bay year after year on family holidays as a child, Debbie was keen to introduce Jeff to this magical village and it’s safe to say Jeff was equally smitten. Having created their special place to be they would like you to discover the magic too on your beautiful escape to Robin Hood’s Bay.

Please note Millbrook is unable to accept children under 5 years old.

We love to hear back from our guests to find out their experience with Beautiful Escapes.

Fantastic week in Robin Hood’s Bay. Millbrook is very clean and has literally everything you need. Lovely welcome hamper. Great selection of walking books and maps which we made good use of – we walked everywhere! We hope to come back soon, Jackie and Mark.

Thank you, we’ve had a brilliant home from home – all the comforts we needed. We have really enjoyed the silence of the beach views and being on the beach in the early morning and late evenings. Just the sound of the waves lapping at the shore. Carol, Tony & Ann.

Our stay at Millbrook was amazing. On the second day we took the bus into Whitby and had fish and chips at the famous Magpie cafe – I love it there! Then we took the bus into Scarborough and had ice cream at the harbour – it was yummy! I really enjoyed my stay at Millbrook and I would recommend it and I would definitely come again! Megan aged 11.

From the night we arrived to tonight the eve of our departure we felt you looking after us even though we never saw you. We felt love in the tiniest attention to detail, we knew we were in the hands of people for whom Millbrook is more than just a business operation. This was our first trip as a couple in exactly 20 years because we were raising our lads. It was between Robin Hood’s Bay and Paris and we are so pleased we chose Milbrook. Thanks so much for the wine and brack. Never had brack before, intend to eat some again soon. Sonia and John-Paul.
