THE LOCAL AREA

Lottie Cottage is in the heart of the historic and attractive village of Haworth, West Yorkshire. The area is often called Brontë Country because of its association with the Brontë authors – Emily Brontë, Charlotte Brontë and Anne Brontë.  A short stroll from the property will lead you to Main Street, with its cobbles, alleyways and abundance of traditional pubs, restaurants and cafés.

The Brontë Parsonage Museum, home to the largest and most important Brontë collections in the world, is just a short walk from the property and Brontë Waterfalls/Top Withins, reputedly the inspiration for Wuthering Heights, a 10-minute drive.

Haworth hosts themed weekends throughout the year, including the hugely popular 1940’s weekend, 1960’s weekend, Steampunk weekend, Scroggling the Holly, Nativity and the Torchlight Procession.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lynne’s cottage. It’s in a fabulous location on Main Street and was lovely & cosy to return to after a day exploring. Lynne was also really helpful before our arrival. We would definitely return.

Lovely cosy cottage right on the Main Street!
Perfectly clean, very comfortable and excellent communication from Lynne.
Lots of lovely little touches.

Thank you, Ceri

September 2022

Wonderfully charming cottage, centrally located at the base of Main Street. This was such a cozy, welcoming space. Lynne was a great host, responding quickly and communicative throughout the stay. Since it is at the base of the Main Street, the hill up to the Brontë Parsonage Museum is a bit steep, but it’s not a long walk at all. There’s a lovely tea room a couple doors down, with some really lovely shops further up the street. I loved my stay here and would definitely recommend!

We had a lovely time staying at the cottage.

It is a lovely little cottage with everything you need for your stay. Very homely with a small yard to sit out on, on hot sunny days.

Lynne, the owner is ever so helpful and thoughtful. We would love to come back again.
